“Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in men.” Words from the mouth of Swami Vivekananda, which has enlightened us for decades is still an aspiration for all of us here at the Chandraketugarh Saidullah Smriti Mahavidyalaya, institution for the local people in the depths of Bengal’s lush green fields. Over here we serve to bring to life this perfection through education. Surrounded by history and nostalgia, the campus is an alcove of knowledge to all the people who seek education within the walls of this institute. In its short journey since 1997, the college has been an integral part of the society and people’s lives here. This institute witnessed the growth and development for two or more generations and it deeply rooted within its own community. Our students are our prized assets. These students coming from different communities and religions form an eclectic group. They display unparalleled unity regardless of their social or religious boundaries. In this rural and underdeveloped area which primarily consists of an agrarian population, the college serves to cater for the needs of the poor, needy people through education and opening a window of opportunities for those who seek asylum under the roof of knowledge. This institute supports and advocates the education of children from a score of feeder schools whose only option of higher education is this college. We seek for the Lord’s blessing and grace to keep guiding us in imparting education and wisdom to help the students dream big and fulfill their needs of a satisfactory and sufficient life. I hope, one day, my students will make our country proud. Warm regards,
